Welcome to P4.  Get ready for a really interesting year with lots of interesting trip and activities.

Curriculum 
                            
Mathematics-: We start multiplying and dividing. By the end of P4 we can add and subtract up to 1000. In Handling Data we learn to record and interrupt different types of graphs and tables.

English-:  It’s fun to write in “joined –up” writing. We read lots of interesting novels. All through the year we watch the T.V Programme Look and Read.

Science -: We are learning about Ourselves, Our Senses, Healthy Eating and Recycling.

History-:  We are finding out how our schools and homes have changed since the 1950’s. We interview our parents and grandparents.

Geography-: Now we are starting to read maps and plans.

PE - :Time to Move programme and gymnastics keep us fit. After school we have the opportunity to take part in football, tennis, Irish Dancing and more gymnastics.

Music-: We enjoy singing along with the songs in our television programmes and using percussion instruments.

Art-: On Friday afternoons we use lots of materials to be creative.
Personal Development-: We are special. We learn to respect ourselves and each other.

On Tuesday we have activity afternoon -: drama, sewing ( girls and boys!), knitting, clay modelling and scraper board pictures.

In assembly we join with KS2 classes and perform on stage.

We love our trips in P4 and we go on lots!!
