Accessing SeeSaw

Dear Parents,

One of the approaches to learning we will be using during our anticipated closure will be the SeeSaw App  (http://seesaw.me).

This is a secure online journal where pupils can document and reflect on what they are learning. Your child will be able to add the things we work on (including photos, videos, worksheets, screenshots and voice recordings) and they will be saved privately in their SeeSaw journals.

In order for your child to use Seesaw, the App needs your child’s name to be able to associate work like their photos, videos or voice recordings with their account. Seesaw only uses this information to provide the service and doesn’t provide or promote advertisements, create profiles of students, or share or sell your child’s personal information or journal content.

You can read more about their strong privacy promises here. https://web.seesaw.me/privacy

Under an EU law called the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), in order for your child to use Seesaw, we (the school) must get your consent.

For more information on GDPR, please visit https://ec.europa.eu/info/law/law-topic/data-protection/reform/rights-citizens.

We would appreciate it if this could be attended to promptly, in preparation for further communication about our distance learning programme.

During closure, please note that all communication with school needs to be through the school info account and NOT through SeeSaw. The info account will be checked at intervals and responded to appropriately.

Please fill in the form below to submit the required permission for your child to use Seesaw

A number of our Year Groups are using SeeSaw as a means of pushing out information and tasks to their pupils. In order to do this, it is preferred that families download the SeeSaw Class App.

The video attached is a walk through on how to scan your child's QR code using the App and the device camera.
